Mrs. Trish
The owner of Sierra Summit Children’s Academy, Mrs. Trish, has worked in the field since 1982 and has owned and operated a school since October 13, 1994. She has her Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. Improving children’s lives has always been Mrs. Trish’s mission. Mrs. Trish is happily married to her husband Todd. Together they share their time with their furry friends living life to the fullest!
Children are 25% of the population and 100% of the future!

Hello,
My name is Carol, and I am so excited to be the director at Sierra Summit Children’s Academy. I have my AA in Family-Consumer Science and have been working in the childcare/teaching field for over 40 years. Over the years I have taught from preschool to middle School. My heart is definitely with the younger kiddos. I am originally from Sacramento California, but moved to Nevada 20 years ago, so home really is Nevada. I look forward to many more years here at Sierra Summit Children’s Academy.

Ms. Ayumi
Hello, I am Ms. Ayumi and here is a little bit about me. I was born and raised in Japan, graduated from Tokyo Rissho Jr. College. I studied English and International Tourism. I have always enjoyed traveling and having experiences with different cultures and people. I am a mother of three children. I love the ocean.
Since, 2007 I have been working with young children. I have been here at SSCA since the summer of 2011. Recently I took a new position as a breaker after being a lead teacher in a classroom since the beginning of my career. I really enjoy the change; now I am able to be in all of the classrooms, to get to know about all of the children, and work with all of the ages that we teach.
It is my pleasure working with your children!
Our Teachers
Our team of experienced and dependable childcare providers at Sierra Summit Children’s Academy aim to establish a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where youngsters learn, grow, and develop their skills, reaching their full potential. Each of the staff was thoughtfully selected based on their aspiration to improve the future of children. Everyone at a minimum meets Washoe County and the State of Nevada licensing requirements, with the majority considering this their career and possessing their degree or working towards a degree. We always make sure we employed dedicated, compassionate, and trusted childcare staff that is filled with enthusiasm and purpose to teach and guide children in their development.
Some staff, present and past, have plans or plans to work in another child-related field such as elementary education, special education, social work, child psychology, pediatrics, etc.
We as a staff all have one thing in common – we are dedicated to the children and families we serve. It is our goal to support your child’s developmental growth, leading them to be the best versions of themselves and getting them ready for the big school settings.
